A fresh inquest into the death of a 17-year-old who died after being stabbed in 2019 has found he was unlawfully killed.
The hearing at South Manchester Coroner's Court comes after a previous inquest into Yousef Makki's death was quashed by high court judges earlier this year.
Yousef died after being stabbed through the heart with a flick knife in Hale Barns whilst out with friends in March 2019.
After an inquest in 2021 in which a coroner ruled out both unlawful killing and accidental death as reasons for Yousef's death, his family took the decision to the high court.
After a judicial review in 2022 Lady Justice Macur and Mr Justice Fordham handed down their ruling at the High Court in Manchester, quashing the conclusions of the first inquest and ordering a fresh inquest before a different coroner.
Yousef was stabbed by Joshua Molnar, aged 17, at the time, who claimed self-defence and was acquitted of murder and manslaughter after a trial, three months after Yousef's death.
The second inquest has heard evidence again, including from Joshua Molnar as well as other witnesses.
