Budgie joins British Transport Police after being found in Southend station
Officers are still looking for PB Barry's real owner

A budgie found in an Essex train station has been adopted by the British Transport Police, as officers try to find its owner.
The bird was found by officers in the car park of Southend Victoria station in the wake of storms which hit the country last week.
After catching the budgie, the police officers made a nest for the blue and white bird in a cardboard box and tweeted on social media to find the bird's owners.
However, despite the call for the handlers to come forward, no one has claimed ownership of the budgie.
As a result, the British Transport Police have taken the bird in and affectionately named him PB Barry.
In a tweet, the Essex branch of the force said that Barry's nest had been upgraded to a wide cage with perches and mirrors.
The search for Barry's owners continues, according to the force, but in the meantime - it seems like Barry is set for a career in the police.
Going on, the Essex team suggested that PB Barry could find a new home with the National Police Air Service, providing aerial views of crime.
Whilst the career for PB Barry is looking set, police officers are still on the hunt for his family.
Anyone with information about the missing bird should get in touch with the British Transport Police in Essex to reunite Barry with his rightful owners.
