£20k reward offered over death of young mum in Derbyshire

Crimestoppers is offering a £20,000 reward for key information into the death of Alana Armstrong, following a fatal collision in Derbyshire.
The 25 year old, mum-of-one, was knocked off an e-bike in Pleasley on Tuesday night in a collision with a 4x4.
Police believe a Land Rover Discovery had followed two e-bikes before ramming one of the bikes causing the rider and pillion to fall off the bike. The car then drove off from the scene without stopping.
Alana was riding pillion on the bike and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The rider, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital and has since had to have his leg amputated below the knee – he remains in hospital.
Meanwhile, Derbyshire Police has said it has arrested a woman in her 30s from the Pleasley area following a CCTV appeal issued on Friday. She has been released on bail in connection with the incident.
Officers located the vehicle, a blue Land Rover Discovery, over the weekend, which was recovered and has been forensically examined.
Detective Inspector Steve Shaw, said: “Over the weekend we have received significant information from the public that has greatly assisted our enquiries and I would like to thank everyone who has come forward.
“Today independent charity Crimestoppers has offered an enhanced reward of £20k and I would urge anyone with information to come forward, whether to the force or Crimestoppers to help us find the driver of the Land Rover.
“I know there are people in and around the Pleasley and wider Mansfield areas that have information that can help – and you can do so anonymously through Crimestoppers.”
