Simon Bird shuts down rumours of a 'The Inbetweeners' reunion
It's never going to happen! 😭
Fresh off the back of the news that the Friends cast are reuniting, fans across the land are holding out for reunion news of some other favourite TV shows, and constantly in the rumour mill is hit show The Inbetweeners.
Actor Simon Bird, who played the infamous character Will McKenzie on the popular show, appeared on Lorraine today (Monday 24th February), where he was quizzed about a potential reunion.
However, it's not great news for fans, with Simon practically saying it's 'never' going to happen.
When Lorraine asked how many times Simon gets asked a day if The Inbetweeners would ever return to our screens, Simon said, “Ten to twenty!” with Lorraine saying, “Never say never, look at Gavin and Stacey.”
However, viewers were left disappointed at Simon's reply, when he said, “I mean I will say ‘never’ now. I think the reason that show worked is because the characters are kids, so they could say the terrible, awful things they said. Whereas if the characters were in their mid to late thirties, it’s slightly different!”

The Inbetweeners, which also starred Joe Thomas (Simon Cooper), Blake Harrison (Neil Sutherland), and James Buckley (Jay Cartwright), first hit our TV screens way back in 2008, with the show going on to have three different series.
Fans were then delighted in 2011 when The Inbetweeners Movie was released in cinemas, before the sequel landed in 2014.
Back in 2018, James teased fans that a fourth series could be on the way, sharing a photo alongside his co-stars having lunch. Alongside the pic, James wrote, ' Inbetweeners series 4 pre production meal' (sic)
