The Great British Bake Off fans say baker was 'robbed' after latest eviction

Cristy was the latest baker to leave the tent

The Great British Bake Off fans have taken to social media to share their thoughts on the latest baker to be sent home from the iconic tent. In Tuesday's (14th November) Party Week episode, the five remaining bakers took on a signature challenge, a technical and each created a show-stopping buffet dish.

Whilst 28-year-old teacher Matty Edgell impressed the judges as he earned the title of Star Baker, it was 33-year-old personal assistant Cristy Sharp who was sent home from the show.

However, many fans at home didn't agree with the decision made by judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith, with several viewers taking to social media to declare that Cristy was 'robbed.' Some fans thought that Dan Hunter should have been sent home instead, with one person taking to X (formerly known as Twitter) to say: 'Important opinion of the week - Christy was robbed. Dan got to coast on previous star baker wins.'

Someone else said: 'Gutted to see Cristy go! Really thought she'd make the final.' Another person posted: 'Ngl... I thought Dan was slightly worse today... Christy rebaked the technical and came 2nd.' (sic)

One viewer wrote: 'Cristy should have stayed and Josh should have been Star Baker.' Someone else said: 'Dan was much worse than Christy. that makes no sense!' (sic)

In the signature challenge, the bakers were tasked with making 12 sausage rolls with a filling of their choice, with Matty earning a coveted Paul Hollywood Handshake for his efforts. In the technical, they were asked to make a chocolate caterpillar cake, with Tasha coming out on top for her bake.

For the showstopper challenge, the bakers had four and a half hours to create an 'anything but beige' buffet. Cristy created a Willy Wonka-inspired sweet shop buffet, featuring swiss roll lollipops and lemon and meringue pies, but sadly failed to impress the judges.
