Scarlett Moffatt lands 'I'm A Celebrity' presenting role
She will present the spin off show
It seems current Queen of the Jungle Scarlett Moffatt will be returning to I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here this year, but this time round she will be presenting the ITV2 spin-off show.
Scarlett, who found fame watching TV on Gogglebox, has been revealed as the brand new host for I'm A Celebrity: Extra Camp, after former hosts Vicky Pattison and Chris Ramsey left the show.
A source for the show told a national newspaper, "This is a huge gig for Scarlett and one she’s worked hard to get. Last year’s show was just a bit too chaotic for producers, so they wanted to switch things up.
“The current plan is to have Scarlett host the show alongside two other presenters. At the moment that is most likely to see Stacey return with her boyfriend Joe as they were happy with them last time round."
They added, “It’s a massive test for Scarlett but ITV were chuffed with her in the jungle and the job she did on Ant And Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway so think she’s well worth the punt."
Scarlett won over the nation with her hilarious antics and down to earth personality on last year's show, which saw her win over competition in the form of runner-up Joel Dommett and third place celebrity Adam Thomas.
Since appearing on the show, Scarlett has achieved major success in her career. Not only did she land a job on Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway, the 26-year-old also presents Channel 4's reboot of Streetmate.
Despite not officially confirming that she's landed the new presenting role, Scarlett did express her excitement at seeing adverts for the new series.
Sharing a photo of herself and her little sister wearing her Queen of the Jungle crown, Scarlett wrote, 'Seeing the adverts for I'm a celeb is getting me so excited. 🐛🐊🐍 #jungle #love'
Last month ITV bosses confirmed the news that Ant and Dec will be returning to host the poplar show. After Ant's recent stint in rehab, it was a concern that he may not be ready to return to work on the show.
However when asked whether ITV would consider taking a break from I'm a Celebrity this year, ITV boss Kevin Lygo responded, "How very dare you. Ant is doing really well and we're expecting him to return to I'm a Celebrity, so we won't be resting it"
Good news!
With the new series set to begin later in the year, rumours about which celebrities are going in are heating up fast!
