After five dramatic weeks, the final of the first ever Love Island: All Stars took place last night (Monday 19th February), with Molly Smith and Tom Clare being crowned the winners ahead of runners-up Callum Jones and Jess Gale.

As fans will know, after meeting on series six four years ago, Molly and Callum went on to be in a relationship for three years, with the pair living together in Manchester until they shockingly split last year.

And although many viewers accused the pair of 'faking' their split early on in the series, the vast majority of viewers have been begging the pair to rekindle their romance in the villa, and that was no different during the final.

Despite both seemingly happy with Tom and Jess, viewers were quick to take to social media to express their frustration at the pair's chemistry, with many even thinking host Maya Jama hinted at a reunion when she told the pair: "I had a lot of people saying I should get back with my ex!"

Maya also let slip during the final interview that it was actually Callum's idea for Tom to gift her with a stuffed dog for Valentine's Day, after she confessed she was terribly missing her pooch Nalla.

After seeing the pair with other partners during the final, one wrote: 'The public wants you back together, and eventually, it will happen. It may take some time. Remember, Maya was engaged before she and Stormzy got back together, but eventually… they will rekindle. #loveisland'. (sic)

Another added: 'Okay molly you can go back to Callum now', with a third writing: 'Deep down Calum and Molly should of won this, that's why they both was not in the bottom which is a fair and obvious observation'. (sic)

Another gasped: 'Calum looked troubled and Molly kept up a great act. I think Calum now realises that Molly is the girl for him and he will fight to get her back on the outside . Tom's a good looking guy but he's not Calum who Molly truly loves.' (sic)

A Instagram user then commented: 'Molly wanted Callum back 100% and Callum didn’t fight hard enough for her. I don’t think he genuinely knew how, I think if Chris didn’t kiss her on the terrace they would of got back together. I BLAME CHRIS'. (sic)

Following a three-year relationship, Molly and Callum split in June last year, with the pair both deciding to not publicly announce things at the time.

After six months apart, they both showed up as bombshells during the opening episode of this year's Love Island: All Stars, where Callum chose to recouple with his ex, instead of stealing one of the other girls.

However, throughout their time in the villa, the pair both explored things with other people, before Tom Clare arrived and seemingly swept Molly off her feet. Although Callum was coupled with Georgia Steel for some time, he eventually coupled with Jess Gale, four years after they first met during series six.

So, despite the majority of Love Island fans wanting a fairytale ending for Molly and Callum, it looks like they are very happy with their new partners right now.
