Love Island set to return to our TV screens tonight with huge new twist
Series 10 starts tonight!
Love Island is set to make a return to our TV screens tonight (5th May) as Series 10 of the hit ITV2 dating show commences just three months after the winter season ended. However, the first episode will contain a major twist for the Islanders.
Tonight's episode will see both boys and girls enter the villa for the first time. Usually, the girls enter the villa first and get to know each other before the boys are introduced later. In scenes set to be broadcast tonight, Ruchee and Jess will be the first Islanders to arrive at the Spanish villa in style.
The two girls will then be joined by Mitchell, Ella and André as the Islanders get to know each other. Presenter Maya Jama will then make an epic entrance as she makes her way through the famous flower walkway and says: "Hello my lovelies! Do you want to head over to the firepit for a chat?"
After quizzing the Islanders on the type of person they're hoping to couple up with, Maya reveals another twist. This year, the decision of who they'll be coupling up with isn't up to them and is instead in the hands of the public, who have been voting.
Maya will then gather the Islanders in the garden, revealing the results of the public vote in the first coupling of the series. Before Maya shares the results, we will discover that Ella and Tyrique already know each other - could this lead to drama?
ITV have dubbed tonight's show one of the 'most flirtatious' first episodes in Love Island's history. Once all of the Islanders are coupled up, Maya exits the villa and says: "I think it's fair to say on Love Island you should 100% expect the unexpected!"
Love Island airs tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.

Ahead of the first episode of the Summer series tonight, fans have been able to enjoy a first look at the famous Mallorca villa where all of the drama will be unfolding.
Love Island will also be introducing some changes to this year's series in order to improve accessibility for blind and partially-sighted fans. The show will provide an audio-described tour of the villa, offering information on the show's key locations. Islanders will also record self-descriptions, providing details of key identity characteristics such as skin colour and hair length.
