Love Island contestants were ecstatic as show bosses made a rare change to the rules that allowed them to tune in to the Euro 2020 final. As we all know, usually islanders are not allowed to watch TV, or have any contact with the outside world, whilst appearing on the show.

Not having any knowledge of Gareth Southgate's team even reaching the Euro 2020 final, the islanders could not contain their excitement when Chloe Burrows received a text saying: "Islanders, tonight you will be able to watch the England football team play Italy in the final of the European Championship! #ItsComingHome".

Laura Whitmore revealed last night's (11th July) rule change on Aftersun, showing the Villa erupt into a flurry of celebrations - with the likes of Jake Cornish and Toby Aromolaran even diving into the pool.

Last night's Love Island episode had been pushed back an hour from the usual 9pm slot due to the match, set to start at 10pm.

As if things couldn't get any more exciting in the Villa right now, new contestant Teddy Soares has cruised in, catching the eye of Rachel Finni, Sharon Gaffka, Faye Winter and Kaz Kamwi.

Love Island continues every night at 9pm on ITV2.
