Love Island viewers TURN OFF over 'vile and disgusting' food trial 🤮
The food challenge didn't go down well...
Following Sunday night's cliffhanger ending, viewers were eager to tune into Love Island on Monday night in order to see the latest recoupling, where one unlucky girl would be dumped from the luxury villa.
But after 29-year-old Rachel Finni was left single and sent packing, it was the latest trial that really got viewers of the popular ITV2 show talking... Or should we say complaining!
The trial, which was called 'Spit the Roast', involved the new couples passing Sunday lunch ingredients via each other's mouths, with the girls having to then present the 'best plate' of food to win the crown.
After seeing the boys pass things like gravy, mash, carrots and peas using only their mouths to their partners, viewers took to Twitter to brand the task 'disguising' and 'vile', with many even turning off.
One fan wrote: 'i thought i’m a celeb food trials were bad, watching the love island one was 10x worse', with another writing: 'Can we all agree we’re writing to Ofcom after that challenge so we no longer have to watch it for future series? I’m traumatised #LoveIsland'. (sic)
Another wrote: 'Not them bringing back that DISGUSTING food challenge in the time of coronavirus, read the room??? #LoveIsland'.
A fourth then added: 'This is actually disgusting I want to write to OfCom #LoveIsland', with another writing: 'I've had to turn off Love Island, can't deal with that sick trial'. (sic)
Another annoyed fan wrote: 'Plsss stop doing these challenges. It's gross and we're still going thru a pandemic 🤢', with another commenting: 'This challenge actually disgusted me'.
Others were annoyed that bosses chose to waste food, with one writing: 'This episode with the islanders so casually wasting food is uncouth at the best of times, let alone in the wake of a global pandemic that left tens of thousands of British (and countless other nationalities) hungry. For a programme that prides itself on its virality and viewership I hope your team with take messages like this sincerely. Keep doing the good stuff, we love to see it ❤️'.

No getting drunk
According to 2017 contestant Kem Cetinay, contestants are allowed one small glass of wine or beer a night with dinner.
Being drunk's an absolute no-no, so sex while intoxicated is obviously against the rules too.
No masturbating
No solo sex acts are allowed in the villa, though obviously allowed to get jiggy with their partner.
No nudity
Contestants cannot be naked in front of other islanders, since the villa is technically a public space.
No books, phones or magazines
The islanders are given snazzy phones from their sponsor, Samsung (what else would they get their texts on?); but anyone sneaking their own mobile phone into the villa would risk being removed.
Same goes for books and magazines, too.
No inappropriate language or behaviour
This could cover homophobic, racist or aggressive language and is quite the broad rule. Inappropriate behaviour is again at producers' discretion, and would include violence and sexual harassment.
No discriminating against staff
Any Islanders who are rude to crew could run the risk of being booted off the show, and contestants must NOT take their mic packs off unless instructed to.
Follow the rule book
Simple. Contestants must obey the rule book they're provided with; which includes information on safe sex, consent and how to know if you're following the guidelines.
Meanwhile, in other Love Island news, following the recent recoupling, which saw a major shake-up, Rachel Finni was dumped from the villa after new bombshell Teddy Soares chose to couple up with original girl Faye Winter.
