Although it originally aired on Irish channel RTÉ in 2021 (series one), and 2023 (series two), fans have been obsessed with crime drama Kin in recent months, after the two series finally landed on BBC iPlayer. And now, it's even easier for fans to enjoy the second instalment of the series...

Is Kin on Netflix?

Whilst both series are currently available on both RTÉ and BBC iPlayer, streaming giant Netflix decided to get in on the Kin party, with both seasons of the show now available to stream!

Following the success of series one, which landed on the platform on Wednesday 1st May, Netflix have added all episodes of series two - as of 1st July 2024!

Netflix says of Kin series one: 'The Kinsella family grapples with the shifting power dynamics while trying to safeguard loved one in a bloody drug war that pushes their bonds to the limit'.

Netflix say of series two: 'While the Kinsellas consolidate their hard-earned gains, the surprise reappearance of an old leader jeopardizes their network of tenuous loyalties'.

Will there be a third series of Kin?

Despite the first two series of Kin, starring the likes of Charlie Cox, Clare Dunne and Emmett J. Scanlan, being a huge hit with fans across the country, a third series is still reportedly up in arms.

According to reports, actor Sinan Sicimoğlu recently revealed the cast's contracts hadn't been renewed, meaning it would be "impossible" to get the likes of Charlie, Clare, Sam and Emmett back on the same set.

However, following the success, it does sound like the cast would be up for it, with Emmett J. Scanlan telling Radio Times: "I'm sure we're all hopeful that we get to continue the story or maybe even finish the story. It’s been an extraordinary ride.

"We became very close shooting it. And I said I'd love to go back and do it, to be able to get on set and to tell stories, really, really well thought-out, visceral, layered stories like that, to be able to bring those characters to life, is only made possible through the team that's around you.

"And, of course, our writer, Peter McKenna, who's so, so good at doing that. And I hope we get to continue, but I don't know if and where we will, but please God we find out soon one way or the other."

It's understood Kin's inclusion on global streaming platform Netflix will further increase the show's chances of a third series, but nothing has been confirmed just yet.
