Strictly Come Dancing star 'nervous' about her future on the show
Brendan Cole lost his job earlier this year

She's one of the most popular professional dancers on Strictly Come Dancing, but Katya Jones has revealed she's nervous about her future on the show following the news of Brendan Cole's sacking.
Katya, who won the show in 2017 with Holby City actor Joe McFadden, has admitted there is uncertainty in the camp about who will get their contracts renewed. Speaking to The Daily Star on Sunday, Katya said, "Things have changed with Brendan unfortunately leaving. Everyone is a bit on edge about what will happen."
28-year-old Katya first appeared on the popular dancing show back in 2017. The Russian dancer was paired with former Shadow Chancellor Ed Balls and finished in 6th place, performing THAT unforgettable routine to 'Gangnam Style'.
She then won the show for the first time last year when actor Joe McFadden won over the public to be crowned the winner instead of Gemma Atkinson and Debbie McGee.
It comes after Strictly legend Brendan Cole announced he'd been axed from the show earlier this year.
Visibly holding back the tears as he revealed the news on Lorraine, Brendan confirmed the BBC hadn't renewed his contract after 13 years of him being on the show.
He said, “It’s quite, actually, hard to talk about. The BBC haven’t renewed my contract. We get contracted year upon year. They’ve made an editorial decision to not have me back on the show. I’m a little bit in shock. I’m quite emotional, a bit raw about it.
“It’s done via a process of a phone call and stuff. I have had 15 incredible series on the show. I’m very proud of the whole show. It’s a great team.” He later added, “I’m disappointed. It’s very hard to talk about. It’s a recent decision."
