Emily in Paris season three: All the details you need
Merci beaucoup Netflix!
Last updated 8th May 2024
Emily is Paris is the rom-com that took Netflix by storm when it was first released back in 2020 - following Emily Cooper as she moves from Chicago to Paris to work for Savoir, a Paris-based marketing firm. And now, after what feels like a lifetime, we officially have a brand new season, with the third series landing on Netflix (21st December).
Yep, a year after season two came into our lives and left us on THAT cliffhanger, we can finally get our Emily In Paris fix. Not only that, but we all owe Netflix one big "merci", as they previously confirmed that there is also a fourth season coming our way.
When was Emily in Paris season three released?
The season is available to stream now, dropping on Netflix on 21st December 2022.
Announcing the release date back in September, bosses shared a video of clips from the new series on Instagram, writing: '🚨 EVERYTHING’S FINE! 🚨 Emily In Paris Season 3 drops on Netflix December 21st! #TUDUM'.
In the video, Emily can be seen making 'the hardest decision' she's ever had to make, but it's not what you think it might be...
Who is in it?
In a series of new pics from season three that were released by Netflix, we saw all the main characters returning, including Gabriel, Camille, Mindy, Alfie, along with Emily's boss Sylvie and colleagues, the double act of Julian and Luc.
Of course, now that the season has dropped, we're sure to see a whole host of new faces.
What happened in season three?
Well, it's fair to say the third season of Emily in Paris didn't fall short on drama! So, here's a quick synopsis of what went down...
Of course, we saw Emily still pining for her neighbour Gabriel, however unfortunately for her, he is back with Camille - who even throws a surprise wedding. Despite this, Emily bonds with a new British hunk, Alfie (Lucien Laviscount), and the pair develop a romantic connection.
During Camille and Gabriel's wedding, Camille calls the whole thing off after realising his lingering feelings for Emily. On top of that, Alfie overhears Camille reveal a pact she made with Emily not to date Gabriel, adding another spanner in the works.
Of course, the drama doesn't stop with Emily's love life, with her work life being just as manic. Season three sees Emily get caught working for both her old firm and Sylvie's new venture, leading to a rather, let's say, messy fallout.
Following this, Sylvie starts her own marketing agency with some of her old colleagues, including Emily's work besties Luc and Julian. As you can imagine, things got pretty messy at this point, leading the season to end with a cliffhanger of Emily choosing between love and her future in Paris.
Then, in the final moments of season three, the ultimate bombshell is dropped by Gabriel - revealing that Camille is in fact pregnant.
Will there be another season?
There sure will! Back in January 2022, show star Lily Collins announced that not only would we be getting a third season of Emily In Paris, but we could expect a fourth season too!
It was confirmed in May 2024 that season four of Emily in Paris will be released in two parts - part one will land on Thursday 15th August 2024, with part two following on Thursday 12th September.

When did they film season three?
Actress Lily Collins, who plays the role of lead star Emily Cooper in the hit drama, confirmed the exciting news that season three had started filming, on Thursday 2nd June 2022. Taking to her Instagram to share a snap alongside her co-star Ashley Park, who plays her on-screen bestie Mindy Chen, she captioned the image: 'Reunited in Paris! Let season 3 filming begin!…'
Of course, a large helping of eager fans headed straight to the comments section to share in the excitement, with one writing: 'Yes! Can't wait...', and another commenting: 'Omgggggg love it 💗💗' (sic).
