Official trailer released for Emily In Paris season 5

When Emily In Paris first arrived on Netflix back in 2020 viewers had the chance to see Emily Cooper, a young marketing executive, arrive for a year in the French capital. After a rocky start, which saw her have an on-off relationship with her neighbour Gabriel and British guy Alfie, Emily's future in the city was uncertain.

However, with the show's success it was quickly renewed for a second season, and then for another two following that.

Is there going to be a fifth season?

Just days after Season 4 Part 2 of the show arrived in September last year, set in Italy, Lily Collins, who plays the lead character Emily, confirmed the exciting news that the show had been renewed for a fifth season.

When is season five out?

It has now been confirmed season five will begin on Thursday 18th December 2025.

Will it be released in two parts?

Although the fourth series was split into two parts, much to the annoyance of fans, it looks like season five will be released in full on 18th December.

What will happen in season five?

The official synopsis reads: 'Now the head of Agence Grateau Rome, Emily faces professional and romantic challenges as she adapts to life in a new city. But just as everything falls into place, a work idea backfires, and the fallout cascades into heartbreak and career setbacks. Seeking stability, Emily leans into her French lifestyle, until a big secret threatens one of her closest relationships. Tackling conflict with honesty, Emily emerges with deeper connections, renewed clarity, and a readiness to embrace new possibilities'.

First look photos were released on 20th August, showing Emily cruising through Venice on a speedboat, taking selfies on a Vespa, but it sounds like Darren Star is keen to keep her in Paris, saying: “Emily’s going to have a presence in Rome. It doesn’t mean she’s not going to be in Paris.”

Is there a trailer?

Yes! The full trailer was released on Wednesday 3rd December, alongside the caption: 'Embrace the detour, home wasn't built in a day after all! Emily in Paris Season 5 premieres December 18. Only on Netflix'.

Who is in the cast of season five?

The usual faces will return for season five, including Lily Collins, Ashley Park, Lucas Bravo, Lucien Laviscount and Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu. There's also a few new faces joining the cast for the upcoming series, including Bryan Greenberg, Michèle Laroque, and Minnie Driver.
