As the date of Yasmeen's plea hearing looms Alya manages to get her to open up about Geoff and is shocked by the extent of his abuse.

The night before she's due in court, Yasmeen calls Alya and tells her that she's worried about how Geoff will react if she pleads not guilty and Alya is worried to see how deep Geoff's control runs.

Standing up in court, Yasmeen enters a not guilty plea and Alya is relieved. Meanwhile Sally is unconvinced by Geoff's version of events.

Tensions are boiling at number four with Sally suspicious that Geoff's story isn't adding up and she tells Tim she wants him to move out.

When Eileen also mentions that she's not sure of Geoff's innocence, Tim finally asks Geoff to move back into number 6. Geoff kicks off, insisting they put on a united front.

Elsewhere, Gary is determined to get Kelly's mum Laura to see sense and tracks her down in Rochdale to ask her to have Kelly back under her wing.

Insisting he's spoken to Rick and will ensure he keeps paying her living expenses if Kelly comes back to live with her, Laura is hesitant but eventually agrees.

Assuming that Kelly would move back in with her mum in Rochdale Gary is unsettled when he learns that she's leased a flat round the corner on Inkerman Street.

Meanwhile, Adam is surprised when Kelly mentions the only person in touch with Rick is Gary and makes a plan to get to know Laura himself.

When he spots Laura having a coffee alone in the café Adam swiftly removes his wedding ring and begins flirting with her in a bid to find out about Rick.

Dev is thrilled when Amy comes over as he, Asha and Aadi wait for the bus and congratulates Asha for giving Corey a piece of her mind the other day.

Pleased that Asha has regained some confidence after what happened with the photo, Dev suggests getting a takeaway to celebrate.

As Asha, Aadi and Mary tuck into the food, Dev slyly checks his bank balance on the phone and logs into a 'quick loans' website.

Carla is surprised to learn that Scott worked with Jonny in the 70s and knew her mum. At the Rovers, a young woman walks in and asks for Carla while she's in the loo.

In the ladies Carla is cornered by the woman who says her name is Chelsey and says that she knows exactly who Carla is. What does she want?

After he is discharged from hospital, Geoff Metcalfe deletes the home CCTV footage of his last fight with Yasmeen Nazir.

But when lawyer Imran Habeeb's digging exposes Geoff's penchant for prostitutes and his squeaky clean family-man image is threatened, Geoff makes up a lie that could condemn Yasmeen even further.

Asha is regaining her confidence
