Dev has words with the school

Meanwhile, Shona's return has shaken David once more and he heads out in search of more adrenaline, very nearly getting himself in trouble once again.

Oliver Battersby's condition could have life long repercussions, Chesney Brown urges Gemma Winter to continue making her blogs and Dev Alahan has words with the school.

CHECK OUT: Coronation Street spoilers Monday 25 - Friday 29 May:

Returning from his run, David is out of breath and Gail worries he's pushing himself too hard, but when he hears that Shona is planning to visit Clayton in prison he heads straight back out on another run.

Over at the playground, David runs into a group of kids on bikes and, adrenaline pumping and looking for a fix, decides to start on them.

Purposefully shoving one off them off the bike and stamping on it, David is prepared when the group gives chase but soon he finds himself cornered.

Readying himself to get beaten up, Craig Tinker pulls up in his police car and the youths scatter. David is released without charge and promises Craig he's learned his lesson.

Meanwhile, Shona goes ahead with her visit to see Clayton in prison along with her social worker, but it's soon clear she doesn't remember him.

As they chat, Clayton does his best to poison Shona's mind against David and her social worker listens on, unable to intervene.

Hearing that Shona is returning to Weatherfield, Sarah vows to do what she can to help David and begs Shona to give him another chance.

Later on, David breaks the news that Shona is coming to visit Gail and Sarah but doesn't want to see him, so he makes himself scarce.

When Shona arrives, she's clearly confused and disoriented and doesn't recognise Harry at all, but when she offers to help make tea she instinctively knows where the tea bags are.

Later on, as Sarah and Gail discuss Shona's progress, Shona listens on upset. Soon she heads outside to the garden but when Gail goes to find her she's nowhere to be seen...

Elsewhere, Gemma is coy about showing Chesney her vlog and refuses to post it after the incident with the turnstile. Later on, Chesney is using Gemma's laptop when he stumbles across the video.

Reading the comments on Gemma's first upload, Chesney is thrilled and begs Gemma to keep making videos because she's clearly helping other women by speaking out.

At the hospital, Steve and Leanne are braced for bad news but nothing prepares them for hearing that Oliver may have suffered brain damage and might not ever fully recover.

Things seem bleak, but when Oliver calls Leanne 'mum' she is heartened and hopeful for a recovery, but Steve and Nick mask their concern.

Dev is still wrapped up in the incident with Asha at school and has researched an article about 'image management' that he shows Asha.

But Asha is desperate for him to drop it and move on. Later when Dev is called in to the school after Aadi gets into a fight, Dev is having none of it.

Tearing a strip off the head, Dev says that Aadi was only defending his sister and the school needs a proper policy on online bullying.

But before all that, let's recap on what's happening this week...

What is wrong with Oliver in Coronation Street?

With his seizures intensifying, Oliver Battersby returns to hospital where concerned doctors tell his parents Leanne Battersby and Steve McDonald they think things might be even more serious than they thought.

With potential mitochondrial disease at play, Leanne and Steve try to stay positive but when Nick Tilsley delivers a dose of reality, Leanne is not pleased.

It's not good news for Oliver

Elsewhere, Gemma Winter is already feeling better after joining a support group for post-natal depression and wants to do something to help other mums in the same position as her.

Ed Bailey finally confronts Bistro manager Don for his racist remarks, and his son Michael vows to do everything he can to stop his daughter, Tianna, growing up in a world where racism exists.
