While Fiz and Tyrone continue to navigate their roles in the police investigation, scheming Jade tracks down Hope playing outside and tells her she must keep her mobile phone nearby, as she'll be in touch soon.

Later on, when Ruby and Hope are playing and a phone falls out of Hope's toy handbag, Tyrone and Evelyn are shocked when they scroll through the messages to find texts from Jade.

Things get even more intense when Tyrone finds out from Ruby that Jade put the bruises on Hope's arm with make up, and Christine the social worker confirms this with Dr Gaddas.

With Jade finally breaking her silence and telling Christine the truth about Jade, Fiz is allowed to return home, all charges dropped – but Hope doesn't seem happy to see mummy.

When Hope hears Fiz say that Jade will never set foot in her house again she dashes upstairs to ring Jade, who promises they'll be together soon.

The next day, Fiz goes to wake Hope but is horrified to find her bed empty and upon more investigation the back door unlocked.

Immediately suspecting Jade, the police search her house but there is no evidence and Jade insists she doesn't know anything about Hope's disappearance.

But Fiz is unconvinced, and triggered by her experience with John Stape vows to expose Jade, and breaks into her house to gather evidence.

But when Jade arrives home unexpectedly to find Fiz there a row erupts, with Fiz telling Jade she knows she has her daughter.

As things become more heated, a furious Fiz picks up a chopping board and hits Jade over the head with it. Tyrone arrives at the scene to find Jade out cold on the floor, and Fiz standing over her holding the chopping board.

Later that night, Fiz is mortified when the police arrive at her front door looking to question her about an assault on Jade Rowan.

Wanting to finally see Paul at peace, Billy tentatively suggests that he try to accept that Kel may never see justice for his crimes and to move on with his life.

Elsewhere, an exhausted Gemma takes an opportunity to get some kip as the quads nap – but as she sleeps, someone posts a burning rag through their letterbox.

Arriving home with the shopping, Chesney panics when he sees through the window the house filling up with smoke, and "pedo" written on the window.

Leaping to action, Chesney begins hammering at the door, aware that Gemma and the quads are inside. Seeing the commotion, Abi runs across the road to get the fire extinguisher from the garage.

With Gemma and the quads herded to safety, they're rushed off to hospital to get checked over for smoke inhalation and Chesney mourns the loss of their home.

Chesney lays into Bernie and Paul for brining trouble to their door and putting everyone's lives at risk. Bernie and Paul are horrified as a police car is stationed outside their home.

Meanwhile, Tim finds himself in seriously deep water when his accidental first wife Charlie shows up on his doorstep, saying she's been made redundant and evicted, and insinuates she's entitled to half his wealth.

When she declares that she wants £5k or she'll tell Sally everything, Tim panics, and enrages Kevin when he asks for a loan. Faye agrees to help him for £100.

Kevin is having love drama of his own, and struggles to hide his jealousy when Abi is late for work after going on a date with Ray the night before.

Later on at the Rovers, Abi turns up for an after work drink but bitter Kevin can't help himself making a snide comment about her "sugar daddy". Offended, Abi storms out, leaving Kevin kicking himself.

After Faye shames Kevin and Steve into helping Tim find the money he needs to get rid of Charlie, Tim thinks he can put his accidental bigamist days behind him...

Turning up to the Rovers for a celebratory drink, Tim is knocked for six when Sally introduces him to the new bar staff – and it's Charlie. What is she up to?

On the other side of the bar, Gary and Maria are proudly showing off the results from their first scan, but Adam and Sarah can't help but make nasty comments under their breath.

Realising how much she's hurt Maria's feelings, Sarah extends an olive branch and says she's only looking out for her, because she knows only too well how Gary can be.

Later on Gary takes a phone call outside. Realising he's been gone for a while, Maria heads out to check on him and when she overhears him say, "you know I love you", assumes the worst.

After Gary puts Maria's mind at ease, she's determined to start acting like a proper family and suggests that she, Liam and Jake go with Gary to visit Zack in Bristol.

Meanwhile, Bethany is convinced that Ray is about to give her the manager role and the Bistro, and is crestfallen when he gives it to Alya instead because of her "experience".

A disappointed Bethany confides in Carla that she's getting sleazy vibes from Ray, and Carla tells her all about him making moves on Michelle, and then forcing her to sign a gagging order.

Shocked, Bethany shares this new information with Alya – but is stunned when Alya jumps to Ray's defence and tells Bethany to go home and consider her position.

Bethany heads round to visit Dan and Bertie to discuss her future career options, but is caught off guard when a downtrodden Daniel suggests it would be better to leave Weatherfield all together.

But Daniel insists he wants the best for her, and offers to help with her application to the creative writing course.
