After six years away from TV, Celebrity Big Brother returned to our screens on Monday night (4th March), as hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best welcomed 13 brand new celebrities into the iconic house.

Much to the shock of viewers, CBB bosses have managed to land both Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh for the rebooted series, but Mrs O will only appear for the first five days, acting as a 'house lodger'.

Despite various rumours online saying CBB bosses 'couldn't afford' the former X Factor judge for the first stint, 71-year-old Sharon has now revealed the real reason for her short appearance.

She said: “I don’t want to stay away from Ozzy for too long.

"We’re so close as a family. I don’t think I have ever gone a week without talking to any of them, ever.

“Through fights, feuds, everything.

"We still talk and this will definitely be the longest.

"I don’t know how I’m going to cope.”

Sharon also opened up about her husband Ozzy Osbourne during a chat with Broadway star Marisha Wallace, where she admitted he was 'doing ok' after being diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2019.

Sharon was the first to enter the Celebrity Big Brother house during the live launch show on Monday night, where she was closely followed by her old friend and X Factor co-star Louis Walsh.

The pair were immediately moved to a secret room where they watched their fellow housemates enter, and were asked to choose three housemates that didn't make a great first impression on them.

As viewers will know, Sharon and Louis chose David Potts, Zeze Millz and Gary Goldsmith to put in the 'danger zone', before entering the main house to meet everybody in person.

Although Sharon is only in the house for five days, it's clear to see she's going to have a huge impact on the rest of the house!

Celebrity Big Brother airs every Sunday-Friday at 9pm on ITV/STV.
