Fans declare popular celeb the 'perfect traitor' as The Celebrity Traitors gets underway
Three Traitors were chosen in the first episode

As the much-anticipated celebrity series of The Traitors gets underway, fans have taken to the internet to express their love for one popular contestant, who was selected as a traitor in the first episode (Wednesday 8th October).
Comedian Alan Carr, TV presenter Jonathan Ross and singer-songwriter Cat Burns were selected by Claudia Winkleman to make up this series' team of traitors, who will try to 'murder' their fellow contestants throughout the series while remaining undetected, in a bid to raise funds for charity.
Following Wednesday's episode, fans took to social media to call funny man Alan Carr the 'perfect traitor', saying the show delivered 'just what we need to cheer us up'. One fan wrote: 'Omg... "Alan....." @chattyman ... priceless 😂', while another said: 'Brilliant opening episode, Alan traitor gold 😂.'
In Wednesday's episode, we saw Alan take on the task of selecting one contestant for their first murder, having to touch their face with his 'poisoned' hand to deliver the blow. Fans were left on the edge of their seats wondering who the comedian had chosen, after he revealed: "it's got to be a woman, so I can go 'you've got something on your face'".
We then discovered on Thursday night, he'd shockingly chosen his best pal, Paloma Faith! In scenes which left audiences in stitches, Jonathan then asked Alan to say a few words as he 'knew her the best'.
At Paloma's 'graveside' — following a challenge which saw three potential victims climb inside a coffin, before Claudia revealed who had been 'murdered' — Alan then said: "I think we're all going to miss her really. The biggest irony is for someone who was so full of life, and then turned like this, it just doesn't feel fitting."
Fellow traitor Jonathan then hilariously declared: "We will avenge her death."
The Celebrity Traitors returns tonight at 9pm on BBC One.
