Top 10 most streamed Irish artists revealed

To celebrate St. Patrick's Day on the 17th March the Top 10 most streamed Irish artists of all-time globally have been revealed.

The list includes everyone from well-known chart toppers to those lesser known acts. Is your favourite there?

10) James Vincent McMorrow

James' debut single 'Higher Love' reached the top 10 in Ireland and number 21 in the UK in 2011. He has also featured on a promotion single for Norwegian DJ Kygo in 2016.

9) Westlife

This boyband don't need any introduction, having sold over 50 million records worldwide and had 26 UK top 10 singles, they were phenomenally popular in the 90s and early noughties.

8) The Cranberries

This Irish rock band were popular in the 90s with their hits 'Zombie' and 'Linger'. After taking a break between 2003 and 2009 they are back releasing songs and a new 'unplugged' album is due out later this year.

7) Damien Rice

Damien has had three top 10 albums in the UK and one top 10 single, 'Cannonball' in 2002.

6) Kodaline

Originally called 21 Demands, Kodaline have had two top five albums in the UK and their 2013 single 'High Hopes' reached number 16 in the UK.

5) Enya

Whilst Enya is still releasing music she is probably best known for her 1988 hit 'Orinoco Flow (Sail Away)'.

4) Two Door Cinema Club

Despite not seeing a lot of commercial success with their singles Two Door Cinema Club had two top five albums in the UK with 'Beacon' and 'Gameshow'.

3) U2

U2 have had countless number one albums over their four decades in the music industry, spawning many top 10 hits including 'Vertigo' and 'Beautiful Day'. Here is their number two hit 'One' with Mary J. Blige from 2006.

2) The Script

The Script have seen a lot of success with three of their four albums hitting the top spot in the UK. They have also had a number of top 10 hits including, 'The Man Who Can't Be Moved', 'For the First Time' and 'Superheroes'.

1) Hozier

Hozier's 2013 hit 'Take Me to Church' won him a number of awards and nominations including a nomination at the highly acclaimed GRAMMYs in 2015.
