In early November, Selena Gomez released her new song 'My Mind & Me' followed a day later by her documentary film of the same name. The film follows Selena as she travels around world, talking about her feelings, and music by the singer features heavily in the film, including the title song.

Now, the singer has opened up more about the inspiration behind the music on her new album, saying it's about personal experiences that fans don't know about.

Speaking to Seventeen, the 'Lose You To Love Me' singer said: "To be honest, I'm now telling stories that people don't know. People I've dated that people don't know. Experiences I've had that people don't know. I've created this private life that's just mine."

She continued: "Now I have to tell these stories and people are going to ask a lot of questions…If I'm being completely honest it's been really difficult. I'm really used to go going into a setting with the same people in my circle and banging out music."

The new song, also called 'My Mind & Me', is featured in the trailer for Selena's new film due out on 4th November, where she can be seen travelling the world meeting people from different walks of life.

Since Selena announced her new single, which is the follow-up to 'Calm Down' with Rema, fans have been eager to hear more with one writing: 'SELENA PLEASE WE WANNA HEAR IT RN', (sic) British singer Pixie Lott also commented: '💛💛💛💛💛'. Meanwhile another fan wrote: 'Yayyyy!! Can’t wait to hear this and watch the documentary! ♥️'. (sic)

Yes, there is a trailer for Selena Gomez's new film. The trailer was released on 10th October and features clips from the movie as Selena travels around world and talking about her feelings. She can also be seen meeting an old school friend and her kids.

"What makes me happy is connection, and it helps me get out of my head," she says in the trailer, as the lyrics to her song play in the background. "My Mind & Me, we don't get along sometimes, it gets hard to breathe, but I wouldn't change my life."

Coldplay and Selena Gomez teamed up on 'Let Somebody Go'. The song was originally announced to be part of Coldplay's 'Music of the Spheres' album in October 2021. The song was announced for release on 7th February 2022.

'Calm Down' with Rema (2022)

September 2022 saw the release of Selena's collaboration with Nigerian singer/rapper Rema, in the form of single 'Calm Down'. With the help of going viral on TikTok, the track was a hit with fans and peaked at Number 3 on the UK Singles Chart.
