'Unholy' singer Sam Smith has now released their epic collab with none other than Madonna. Sam, who has had hits such as 'Too Good at Goodbyes', 'Diamonds' and 'Promises' with Calvin Harris, also uploaded the visualiser and lyric videos on the day of the song's release.

Taking to Instagram, Sam told their fans: 'VULGAR is a song that is very special to me.'

They continued: 'Me, the QUEEN, and a group of some of the most talented people I know, got in the studio the day after the Grammys and we created this piece of music. The creativity was pure and the energy was alive. I’m so excited to share this with you sailors!!

'VULGAR IS BEAUTIFUL!! Out everywhere now.'

Sam announced their new collab at the end of May. Writing the name of the song and release date, Sam tweeted: 'VULGAR SAM X @Madonna JUNE 9TH'.

The short clip had the song playing as it showed a black screen with the letters SXM written in white, followed by VULGAR written in pink, and JUNE 9TH in white again.

After sharing the exciting news and short clip, fans flocked to social media to share their excitement at this announcement. One fan wrote: 'I love that you are back interacting with us your adoring Sailors. Love you Sam and you Madonna. ⚓️💛🤍💜🖤💋❤️‍🔥'.

Another wrote: 'never been so ready for a collab', with a third commenting: 'WOWWWWWWWW'. (sic)

Madonna also shared some artwork for the song, simply captioning it: 'VULGAR…………. new song out Friday June 9th @samsmith'.

Sam has had a number of hits over the years including several very successful collabs with the likes of 'Unholy' with Kim Petras, which was a Number 1 hit, 'Promises' with Calvin Harris and 'Omen' with Disclosure.

Sam is currently midway through their 'Gloria' tour, however unfortunately due to illness they had to cut their Manchester gig short after just four songs, and cancel their upcoming gigs in Glasgow and Birmingham.

They are now set to embark on the Northern American leg of the 'Gloria' tour in July.
