Sam Smith announces exciting new album and release date
It's his second album
Last updated 6th Oct 2017
It's just been a few weeks since Sam Smith dropped his comeback single 'Too Good At Goodbyes', but he has already confirmed the name of his new album and release date.
Taking to Twitter in the early hours of this morning the 25-year-old singer teased the announcement with two tweets saying '2 minutes....' and 'My beautiful fans, I am so so excited to finally share this news...' before then posting the album artwork.
Confirmed in the tweet Sam's second album will drop on the 3rd November and is already available to pre-order.
'The Thrill Of It All' is the follow up to Sam's number 1 album from 2014 'In the Lonely Hour' and will feature his latest single along with nine other tracks on the standard version, with four more on the deluxe edition.
Sam has been giving fans a taste of his new album during a series of intimate shows in London, New York, Los Angeles and Berlin this month. He is also due to perform on Saturday Night Live tomorrow (7th October).
The 'Lay Me Down' singer was recently spotted in New York ahead of his Saturday Night Live performance sharing a kiss with 13 Reasons Why actor Brandon Flynn. Appearing to go public with their romance, the pair were seen walking arm in arm and enjoying lunch together in the Greenwich Village district of New York.
Brandon plays Justin Foley in the hit Netflix series and strongly hinted a couple of weeks ago that he is part of the LGBT community.
After he posted a rainbow flag with the words 'Equality' printed on it Sam commented on his photo with a simple 'x'.
Another time, Brandon commented on a photo of Sam in a dressing gown saying, 'You need slippers', to which Sam responded, 'I'm open to slippers'.
Earlier this year Sam joined the heat radio Entertainment Team to speak about taking some time out of the limelight. He said it was really important for him to spend some quality time with his family. The singer who also had a hit with 'Writing's on the Wall', a Bond theme tune, also revealed to us who he would choose to do a Bond theme.
Sam Smith's album 'The Thrill of It All' will be released on the 3rd November and is already available to pre-order.
