WATCH: Release date for Frozen 2 has been revealed

The day has finally come for parents around the world, the release date for a sequel to Frozen has been announced!

The sequel was originally announced two years ago, but parents across the country have been waiting with bated breath for a date to put in their diaries.

Frozen 2 will be the first feature length sequel to the popular 2013 film and is due to be released in November 2019, so we have a while to wait.

Not a huge amount is known about Frozen 2, however the original cast will return, with Kristen Bell (Anna) and Idina Menzel (Elsa) tweeting their excitement.

Josh Gad will also be returning as the comic snowman Olaf.

For those who can't wait over two years for the sequel, Olaf will be returning later this year in Olaf's Frozen Adventure, with his friends Anna, Elsa, Kristoff and Sven.

With all the excitement of Frozen 2 let's not forget that Disney have also announced the release dates for The Lion King (live action), Star Wars Episode IX and a new Indiana Jones film which is as yet untitled.
