'brat' singer Charli XCX is set to appear in a brand new movie, the first from her new production company Studio365. The singer who had several hits in 2024, including her viral 'Apple', and iconic album 'brat', will appear in this mockumentary called The Moment, along with Kylie Jenner, Isaac Powell and many more well-known faces.

The film is based on an original idea by the singer, directed by filmmaker Aidan Zamiri, and the project promises a stylised, self-aware look at pop stardom, as it blends backstage chaos, satire and performance with viewers following a fictionalised version of Charli’s career.

How was it announced?

The news was first revealed by Variety back in January 2025, that Charli would join forces with A24, an American entertainment company, to produce and star in the new film. At the time, the plot of the movie had not been announced, however it was known that it would feature songs composed by A. G. Cook, who worked on 'brat'.

Before this news was revealed, back in December 2024, Charli appeared to allude to branching out into acting as she told Variety: "I hate it when musicians dive into a different field, head-first, without really researching or learning much of anything about it. So I did a lot of reading to educate myself over the past three or four years before I actually did anything."

What is Charli XCX's film called?

Charli XCX's film is called The Moment. The mockumentary-style follows a fictionalised version of the singer preparing for her headline tour.

Is there a trailer?

The trailer was shared in November, along with the release date of the film. In the trailer fans get to see clips of Charli during the height of the 'brat summer'.
