The pair have lost their deal

X Factor duo Reggie 'N' Bollie have been axed from Simon Cowell's record label Syco Records.

The duo, who appeared on the show in 2015, finished second behind champion Louisa Johnson and have since gone on to release two singles.

However, after their second single 'struggled' to impress with record sales, it is being reported that the label has axed the boys.

A spokesperson for Syco said, "Reggie 'n' Bollie are no longer working with us. We wish the guys the best of luck for the future."

It seems the pair haven't been fazed by getting the chop. Just last night they took to Twitter to express how excited they are to now be 'independent'.

The pair drummed up a massive following during their time on The X Factor and with the help of their mentor Cheryl, they made it all the way to the final despite some labeling them the 'joke act'.

They then released their debut single 'New Girl' in May 2016, with the track reaching number 26 in the official UK charts.

The Ghanaian duo then released the track 'Link Up' which samples Peter Andre's 'Mysterious Girl'.

Being dropped doesn't have to be the end, just look at comeback King James Arthur who has now had a number one single with 'Say You Won't Let Go' and has a new album on the way later this month.
