Music mogul and Britain's Got Talent judge Simon Cowell has reportedly donated a massive £1 million to children's charity Together For Short Lives, to help them out during the current Coronavirus pandemic.

According to reports, Simon has donated his £1 million fee from the Marks and Spencer's advert which he features in alongside BGT judges Alesha Dixon, David Walliams and Amanda Holden, as well as hosts Ant and Dec.

The series of adverts, titled #MyMarksFave, air during the breaks of Saturday night episodes of the current series of Britain's Got Talent, and it turns out Simon didn't pick up his whopping cheque for the ad, instead donating it to a good cause.

A source told the Daily Mirror, "It's wonderful news for the charity."

Of course, this isn't the first time the former X Factor judge has been generous with his money. Simon and his partner Lauren Silverman donated a massive £320,000 to dog charity K9 friends of Barbados earlier this year, with Lizzy Cundy announcing the news on Instagram.

Simon, who has a six-year-old son called Eric, has also reportedly split £820,000 of his wealth to charities Feeding Britain and Feeding America.

Earlier this year, ITV bosses confirmed the live BGT shows, which usually take place in May, have been postponed due to the Coronavirus.

The statement read, "The Britain's Got Talent audition shows will broadcast on ITV in the next few weeks.

"We have been working with the brilliant production teams at Thames and Syco to find a way of making the live finals work, which were due to be broadcast at the end of May. However, in light of the latest government health guidelines and in line with our priority of safeguarding the well-being of everyone involved in our programmes, production of the live shows cannot go ahead as planned.
