Hollyoaks star Rachel Adedeji has announced the birth for her first baby, with a gorgeous photo on Instagram. Rachel, who plays Lisa Loveday in Hollyoaks, took to social media to reveal the news that she had given birth a whole week earlier than expected, but the little baby weighed 'a healthy 8lbs 14oz'.
The super cute photo of Rachel's baby shows just the baby's bottom and legs as it lies on its front. The 26-year-old actress has yet to reveal the gender or name of the little baby, but referred to it as 'baby Adedeji-Finegan' in her caption, saying it was born 'on the 21st of December'.
Soon after her announcement messages of congratulations were coming in from all over with one fan saying, 'Congratulations 💕 beautiful Christmas present xxx', whilst another said, 'Congratulations honey ❤️❤️❤️'.
Speaking before the birth of her baby, Rachel told Mirror Online, "I feel ready to be a mummy.
"I have great family and friends around me and I'm really looking forward to bringing a baby Adedeji into this world!"
During her pregnancy Rachel also revealed to Closer magazine she was getting support from former Hollyoaks actress Chelsee Healey, who is also a new mum. "When Chelsee found out she said to me, 'It's the best thing ever, you can't imagine ever loving anything as much as you love your baby,'" Rachel said.
Rachel and her husband Jason Finegan married in 2015 and this is the couple's first child.
Rachel first became famous after appearing on The X Factor back in 2009, but later moved to acting and took on the role of Lisa Loveday in Hollyoaks last year.
