Just days after the Queen celebrated her 94th birthday, her grandson, Prince Louis, turns two today (23rd April), and Prince William and Kate Middleton have shared the CUTEST new photos of their little boy.

Posting three never-before-seen photos, which were taken by The Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Louis can be seen painting his little hand with rainbow colours, whilst looking cute as a button in a checked shirt.

Proud parents Prince William and Kate Middleton uploaded the photos to their social media pages on Tuesday (22nd April) night, writing, 'Sharing a sneak peek of Prince Louis’s handiwork ahead of his second birthday! We are pleased to share images ahead of Prince Louis’s second birthday tomorrow, taken by The Duchess this April.' (sic)

As if these adorable photos weren't enough, the Royal couple have now posted a further two snaps of their son, this time showing the mess he made whilst painting the cute picture.

Captioning the shots, 'Instagram Vs Reality. Thank you for your lovely messages on Prince Louis’s second birthday', followers were left gushing, with many comparing him to his big brother Prince George.

Followers of the Kensington Palace account were quick to comment, with many wishing the little Prince a very Happy Birthday.

One user wrote, 'Thank you for sharing all these photos of adorable wee Louis! Loved all of them but the painted face picture is what we were all dying to see let’s be honest'. Another said, 'This is amazing! Keeping it real! Happy birthday Louis!' (sic)

A third then added, 'Brilliant! One of the previous photos made me think there must be a photo like this. Thank you for sharing. Happy Birthday Prince Louis!'. (sic)
