He won the nation's hearts in the summer when he appeared on ITV2 show Love Island, but now Marcel Somerville has been left 'devastated' after thieves broke into his car.

Marcel, who was previously a member of hip hop group Blazin' Squad, took to his social media accounts to show the awful damage to the car, and also told fans the thieves stole his laptop, which contained music he's written over the last 10 years.

He wrote, '#Devastated cant believe how vile some people are in this world. Took gabs to see a show and to dinner, come back to that and my mcm bag gone with my macbook pro in it with all the parts to my new tune and my usb with every sample ive collected over the last 10 years! Im fuming! Absolutely gutted 😠😢 It happened in Holborn so if someone offers you a mcm bag or a macbook give me shout' sic

Fans of the reality star were quick to express their anger at the situation. One user wrote, 'So bad, some people are just jealous. Fingers crossed you get it back and they get caught xx', with another adding, 'Vile people to do this!'.

This isn't the first time Marcel has been the victim of abuse since leaving the Love Island villa with his girlfriend Gabby Allen.

Last year, Liverpudlian Gabby was forced to hit back at online trolls after she was targeted by vile racists over her relationship with Marcel.

In response to the messages Gabby said, 'Right guys so I have been reading through some of the messages I’ve received over the past few weeks and I’m absolutely horrified at the amount of disgusting racial abuse due to mine and Marcel’s relationship.

'It's completely unacceptable and to know that this is still goes on in 2017, it breaks my heart. I’ve grown up in multi-cultural and LGBTQIA environments all my life. To know that this is still a thing, I’m mind blown.'

In completely brand new information - Marcel was in the 90's band Blazin Squad. WE KNOW RIGHT. He's so modest about that sort of thing.

Despite missing out on the £50,000 prize fund to their fellow Islanders Kem Cetinay and Amber Davies, Gabby and Marcel have stayed together and often post loved up photos of each other to their social accounts.

Last month Marcel celebrated his 32nd birthday, with the pair enjoying a romantic trip to Amsterdam to celebrate.

Gabby posted a snap of the pair in the city with the caption, '1st night of birthday celebrations for my babes in Amsterdam= 10/10 💫❤️' sic

After the drama the 2017 series of Love Island brought, we can't wait for this year's series!

Whilst we wait, the makers of Love Island have been kind enough to create a brand new show called Survival of the Fittest, which has been dubbed as 'winter Love Island'.

With the series set to begin on Sunday, check out the full line-up.
