One Direction's waxworks have been REMOVED from Madame Tussauds😲

They've been on display for seven years!

Following on from their 10-year anniversary back in July, One Direction's waxworks in London's Madame Tussauds are being removed, after Liam Payne, Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik have been on display for the last seven years.

Madame Tussauds London released a statement to reveal the news, writing, 'Following One Direction's 10th anniversary earlier this summer, the decision has been made to remove Harry, Liam, Zayn, Louis and Niall's figures from the attraction floor at Madame Tussauds London.

'The figures have been an important part of the attraction since their launch in 2013 and we know fans have loved having the chance to meet the band. With each member of the band's continuing success in their solo careers we felt this anniversary was a fitting moment for the figures to bow out and end their tenure at the attraction as a five-piece.

'We are constantly updating what guests can expect to see at Madame Tussauds London, reacting to the celebrity landscape. The showbiz world is ever-changing, and so are we. Much like One Direction's dedicated fan base, we're keenly watching what the gentlemen have up their sleeves for the next decade'. (sic)

Unsurprisingly, One Direction's loyal fans were clearly upset and angry at the tourist attraction's decision.

One fan commented, 'But why do YOU have to REMOVE THEM????!!!!!!!!! THIS MAKES NO SENSE!!!!!! There are wax statues of people who have died . And one direction just broke up and YOU ARE REMOVING THEm???!!!!!!!!!!!!!'. (sic)

Another wrote, 'This is the ONLY closest thing of one direction 5/5 together and you’re removing it?'. (sic)

A third then wrote, 'With that you probably just lost thousands of customers. Now there's no reason for me to go there. I don't even get why you would remove them?! They are still a band, they never broke up, they are on hiatus. The baddest decision you could make.' (sic)

Meanwhile, despite many Directioners holding out for a full One Direction reunion back in July as the boys celebrated their 10th anniversary since appearing on The X Factor, this didn't happen.

Instead, the boys launched a special website, and Harry, Liam, Louis and Niall all shared special tributes on the day.
