Earlier this month Ant McPartlin made the sad announcement that he would be divorcing his wife, Lisa Armstrong, after 11 years of marriage. And although Lisa is yet to speak publicly about her split from her husband, she has retweeted some very strongly worded tweets.

The makeup artist, who has previously worked on Strictly Come Dancing, retweeted a number of tweets from fans with messages of support, and responded to some thanking them for their messages.

However, there was one message in particular which has drawn a lot of interest.

Lisa retweeted a message which said, '5 years ago I was where you are now... My wee mantra. Got me through...chin up girl you got this x', which was accompanied by an image which read, 'LIFE IS GOING TO GET HARD SOMETITMES. SO GET THE F--K UP AND GET YOUR S--T TOGETHER. YOU'RE EITHER AN OCEAN OR A PUDDLE. DON'T BE A PUDDLE. PEOPLE WALK THROUGH PUDDLES LIKE THEY'RE NOTHING. OCEANS F--KING DESTROY CITIES.'sic

Last week a statement was released on behalf of the Ant to the press which read, "In response to the recent speculation in the media, Ant is very sad to announce that, after 11 years, he is ending his marriage to Lisa McPartlin.

“Ant asks for privacy at this difficult time, for both himself, Lisa and their immediate families.

"No further statement will be made.”

Most recently Lisa has been working as a makeup artist on Strictly Come Dancing, while Ant is currently working alongside Declan Donnelly on the new series of Britain's Got Talent.

Strictly Come Dancing recently won Best Talent Show at the NTAs, with Lisa receiving compliments on her makeup work.

Ant also picked up the Best TV presenter award along with his co-host Dec at the NTAs and addressed the "tough year" he's had. He told the audience, “It’s been a very emotional night tonight. It’s been quite a year. It’s been quite a tough 12 months so winning this tonight really means a lot, so thank you for all your support, it really means the world to me, it’s helped me get through."
