He's been in the spotlight since the age of 14 with One Direction so Liam Payne certainly knows how to deal with fame and now he's been giving advice to fellow superstar Justin Bieber.

Ahead of the release of his debut solo album, Liam has been chatting to Rollercoaster Magazine about his life and revealed exactly what happened when he met up with the one and only Justin Bieber.

Liam revealed he understands the struggles Justin has faced in the media and believes he can relate with him. He said, "Obviously Bieber’s struggled a lot through the way the world looked upon him," Liam says. "He’s a great guy; inside there’s a really good heart. I said,' look, the difference between me and you is that I had four different boys going through the same thing to look to."

Admitting he gave Justin his mobile number in case he ever needed a chat, Liam added, " He didn’t have that. ... I said to him, 'listen, take my number and any time you want to have a chat, let me know because I’m here and I understand exactly what you’re going through and I understand your world."

The 23-year-old also admitted he has a chaotic side and said he's used to chaos. Speaking about Bieber he said, "He needs somebody like that and in that position ... We all have this chaotic side to us. You know, they say that anger breeds passion. I think that’s the same with a lot of us, that we let things get chaotic very quickly. We’re used to chaos."

Since One Direction announced their hiatus last year, Liam has been working hard on his solo music in the studio.

Back in July last year Liam revealed to fans he'd signed a solo deal with Capitol Records.

Taking to Instagram to share his news, Liam wrote, 'I’m really happy to have signed to such a prestigious label as Capitol Records UK. Capitol Records has an amazing history stretching right back before even Frank Sinatra and I'm really looking forward to becoming part of their story. One Direction will always be my family, I'm now excited to show what I can do as a solo artist.'

Liam has since kept fans up to date with snaps and short videos from inside the studio.

Some fans even thought Liam had revealed his album cover earlier in the month when he showed off his brand new '1993' tattoo.

It hasn't yet been revealed when Liam's solo music will drop, but we seriously can't wait to hear it!
