Love Island 2017 winners Kem Cetinay and Amber Davies shocked their fans over the weekend when they announced they'd split after finding love on the TV show. Now for the first time since their split, Kem has broken his silence.
Taking to Twitter he posted a very honest message to his fans saying, 'It’s been a tough week, but I just wanted to thank everybody who has been so kind and supportive, the messages have proper kept me going.'
He went on to say that he would always be proud of his ex-girlfriend, 'Unfortunately things didn't work out but I know Amber will do amazing and I'll always be proud of her x'.
His fans were quick to respond to his tweet with many saying they hoped they would be able to work things out, with one commenting, 'Still think you two are made for eachother, you'll find your way back to eachother one day x' sic and another saying, 'You to was the dream use should sort it deserve each other so bad don’t let a incredible girl go @Amber_Davies7 don’t let a good and intelligent lad go save it why u can'. sic
Earlier this week Amber broke her silence on the shock split. The reality star thanked her followers for their love and support. She wrote, 'Would just like to say I am incredibly overwhelmed by everyone's lovely messages and comments. The love and support from you all has been absolutely heartwarming. Thank you so much ❤️'. sic
The news of the couple's split was announced last weekend with the reasons behind the split thought to be their busy schedules since leaving the reality TV show.
Both Amber and Kem have enjoyed great success since they left the Love Island villa in the summer. Not only have they both released 2018 calendars and endorsed a number of products, Kem teamed up with fellow Love Island star Chris Hughes to record their debut solo single 'Little Bit Leave It'.
Kem and Chris also starred in their own TV show on ITV2 called Kem and Chris: Straight Outta Love Island and now Kem is set to appear on the new series of Dancing On Ice which will start next month.
Kem has been teasing fans by posting photos and videos of himself on the ice, most recently he shared a photo of himself meeting a group of children on the rink.
