Hollyoaks' Jennifer Metcalfe shares first cute photo of new son

Hollyoaks actress Jennifer Metcalfe and her boyfriend, former Geordie Shore star Greg Lake, welcomed their baby boy into the world last month and now the pair have shared the first photo of their little one.

Taking to Instagram to share a super cute photo of her son's tiny feet in Greg's hand, Jennifer wrote, 'My boys 💙'.

Sharing the same photo, new dad Greg gave a little more information about how he's finding parenthood. Alongside the snap he wrote, 'Amazing first FULL day out with the family #2weeks4days 😍'

Jennifer and Greg are yet to reveal their son's name or share any photos of his face.

The pair welcomed their first child together on Tuesday 20th June, with a representative saying, "We are delighted to announce that our client Jennifer Metcalfe and partner Greg Lake have welcomed a baby boy into the world yesterday. Mother and baby are doing fine."

Proud dad Greg later took to Instagram just a few days later to thank fans for their 'lovely' messages and jokingly admitted he needed sleep.

He wrote, 'Thank you to every1 who has sent these lovely messages to @missjenjomet and i, we are all nice and settled and our baby boy is doing great! I just wonder what its like to sleep! sic

Jennifer and Greg first started dating back in 2013 and during a recent appearance on Loose Women, Jennifer told the panel how much they were looking forward to becoming parents.

Greg had a brief spell on MTV reality show Geordie Shore back in 2011, however he left the show just a year later when he admitted he felt like an 'outsider' alongside the likes of Vicky Pattison, Charlotte Crosby and Gaz Beadle.

Jennifer's final scenes on Hollyoaks aired last week, whilst she takes time off to look after her baby boy.

Leaving the soap with her fellow co-star Chelsee Healey, who is also expecting her first child, the pair's characters left the Hollyoaks village in a van.

Jennifer's character Mercedes McQueen has been involved in a number of tough scenes throughout her time on the soap, including the emotional stillbirth of her on-screen son Gabriel.

It was reported that Jennifer broke down in tears on set and she later admitted, "Filming it, I got a lump in my throat and that was it. By the end I was just sat there sobbing."

Jennifer is expected to return to the soap after her maternity leave is over.
