Ferne McCann targeted by Twitter trolls

Following the news that Ferne McCann is pregnant, the 26-year-old TOWIE star has become the target of Twitter trolls.

The TV personality revealed her pregnancy following the arrest of her ex-boyfriend Arthur Collins. Arthur, who was arrested over the weekend was wanted in connection with an 'acid attack' which took place in a London nightclub over Easter.

Since it emerged that the police were looking for her ex-boyfriend certain Twitter users have bombarded Ferne with comments such as, 'Your career ruined!' and 'Stay off TV for a long time now.'

Ferne has not responded to these comments and has refrained from posting anything on social media since Easter weekend.

Despite the negative comments Ferne has also received some messages of sympathy from fans.

Earlier today (24th April) a representative of Ferne's announced her pregnancy in a statement saying she is under a lot of strain as she will be facing her pregnancy alone.

‘Ferne is grateful for the sympathetic way news of her pregnancy has been covered and people’s support and obviously her first concern is for her child’s health.

‘Accordingly she does not wish to discuss the pregnancy further given the early stage it is at and the immense strain that Ferne is currently under.'

The statement ended, 'Her thoughts are with the victims of the horrific attack on Easter Monday.'
