World famous waxwork specialists Madame Tussauds have recently come under fire for their newest model of singer Beyoncé.
The new waxwork in the New York City Madame Tussauds appears to show the singer with light skin. Wearing a long-sleeved sparkly purple top, matching hot pants and knee-length boots the 'Halo' singer poses with a microphone in her right hand, sporting long blonde hair.
Many fans of the singer are unhappy taking to social media to express their thoughts, with some even using the hashtag #TussaudsSoWhite inspired by the #OscarsSoWhite campaign from last year.
Also taking to Twitter a New York journalist posted other photos of Beyoncé waxworks saying 'Theory: Beyoncé wax figure makers have never seen Beyoncé', her tweet has since been hearted nearly 50,000 times and retweeted over 23,000 times.
With the backlash continuing, Madame Tussauds told American entertainment website TMZ, "Our talented team of sculptors takes every effort to ensure we accurately colour match all of our wax figures to the celebrity being depicted."
Adding, "Lighting within the attraction combined with flash photography may distort and misrepresent the colour of our wax figures."
Over the years a number of Beyoncé Madame Tussauds' waxworks have been created, here is one in the UK from 2014, with the singer standing in a similar pose to the most recent model.
If you need a reminder of what the real Beyoncé looks like, here she is earlier in the month when she posted the first photo of her new twins on Instagram saying, 'Sir Carter and Rumi 1 month today.'
