Congratulations!

Yesterday pop stars and songwriters gathered in London to celebrate, honour and reward excellence in British and Irish songwriting and composing, and one of the pop stars who was nominated, won an award AND presented one too, was Ed Sheeran.
Whilst Ed was rather awkwardly nominated against himself in the PRS for Music Most Performed Work category, he eventually won an award for 'Shape Of You', along with songwriters Steve Mac and Johnny McDaid. He also won Songwriter of the Year, whilst he presented an award at the event.
Lionel Richie, known for his fantastic hits, 'Dancing on The Ceiling', 'Hello' and 'All Night Long', was presented with the PRS for Music Special International Award, by none other than Ed Sheeran. Lionel later took to Instagram to say how grateful he was for the award saying, 'Each achievement is a blessing! I’m so honored to receive this Ivor Novello Award for songwriting. 🎶🙏 ' sic.
He then posted another photo of the pair with their awards where he called Ed his 'brother', captioning the photo, 'At the Ivor Novello Awards with my brother Ed Sheeran... congrats @teddysphotos ✨ And thank you for presenting the “Music Special International Award” to me. The Ivors celebrate, honour and reward excellence in British and Irish songwriting and composing. I’m very honored .... 🙏' .
It's now believed that the pair may be due to join each other in the studio for a collaboration, which is fantastic news for fans. However, time is an issue at the moment, Ed is currently on tour and Lionel is about to start on his summer tour, supported by Anastacia at some locations and Shane Filan at others.
