Ed Sheeran is back on Twitter, hours after deleting his account

Ed Sheeran has reactivated his Twitter account just a few hours after deleting the account.

Yesterday (18th July) Ed deleted his Twitter account @EdSheeran after his Game of Thrones appearance** **was heavily criticised on the platform, but now his account can be accessed.

The singer previously tweeted under the account @EdSheeran but yesterday users were greeted by a message saying ‘sorry, that page doesn’t exist!’ when they tried to view his account.

Ed made his hotly anticipated appearance in the first episode of series seven of Game of Thrones, which aired on Sky Atlantic yesterday (17th July).

Ed stars in a scene with Maisie William’s character Arya Stark, Ed is seen sitting with a group of soldiers playing on guitar and singing. Arya rides past the group on a horse and remarks “It’s a pretty song, I’ve never heard it before” to which Ed replies “It’s a new one”.

Viewers of the show were quick to take to Twitter to express their feelings about Ed’s cameo… and they weren't too impressed by it..
