There's been much speculation around Danny Dyer potentially making a guest appearance on Love Island, and he might just have CONFIRMED his visit to the villa.

The 40-year-old actor tweeted, 'I’ve only gone and made the shortlist for the TV choice awards. If you fancy it whack a vote my way.....right...I’m off to the villa...to sign my future son in laws canvas....lovely'.

This news comes after daughter Dani Dyer's new boyfriend Jack Fincham recently revealed he had a poster (OK, a 'canvas') of one of her dad's films above his bed!

Of course fans are ECSTATIC after reading Danny's teasing tweet.

One user said, 'Voted 🤞🏼 and loving your girl in #LoveIsland she’s beautiful, caring, classy & simply a great girl ❤️'x.

Another commented, 'Dani is doing an amazing job, you must be so proud of her, she honestly is a great role model for young girls, proving that if you have the up most respect for yourself, you get the respect from such a lovely guy like Jack! Voted and good luck!'

Yesterday it was reported that Danny was pulling out of an appearance on the show due to other commitments. But today's tweet surely shows that he wants to get in there and give his daughter's new boyfriend a good grilling! Especially as Jack's ex-girlfriend Ellie Jones is wandering around the same villa.

Dani's mum Joanne Mas was also on This Morning today, talking about how she rang up the producers and wanted to fly over and rescue Dani after she'd been crying over Ellie.

Danny had been quiet on social media since tweeting a couple of weeks ago.

He said, 'I know she’s doing well....holding her own and all that boll--ks...but It’s gotta be declared...I proper miss my baby girl now... #firstborn #Dani #loveisland.'
