Both Cheryl and Liam Payne have been incredibly quiet on social media since the beginning of the year, but now within hours of each other, they have broken their silence.

Despite most fans of the couple holding out for a 'baby' announcement, it looks like they will have to wait longer as Cheryl shared exciting news about her charity Cheryl's Trust.

Posting the same message on both Twitter and Instagram, Cheryl shared the news that she will be opening a centre in her hometown Newcastle as part of her charity.

She wrote, "I am so happy and excited to tell you that after 5 years with @PrincesTrust and a 2 year mission along with Cheryl's Trust we have finally found a centre in the heart of Newcastle that will be opened this summer...."

The centre is expected to help young and vulnerable people in Newcastle. Adding to her social media post, the 33-year-old also released the following statement:

"I am incredibly proud to call Newcastle my hometown and it’s important to me to be able to do my bit to help the young people in the area."

"No young person should be held back by their circumstances, this new centre will transform thousands of young lives by teaching skills, developing confidence and moving young people into education, work or training."

Amazing work! ❤️️

Meanwhile Cheryl's boyfriend Liam, who has also been quiet in recent weeks, shared a snap to his socials.

The former One Direction singer shared a black and white snap with rapper Drake after witnessing his show in London last night.

It seems like Liam had a great time after he captioned the snap with 'Great to see a genius at work last night'.

Meanwhile, speculation is still rife at when Cheryl and Liam's 'baby' will arrive.

Reports are now suggesting the couple's first child will arrive in the next couple of weeks. A source told a national newspaper, "She’s still a little way off and has been enjoying the build-up as well as focusing on her charity announcement which is a really big deal for her."

"It was important for her to continue working throughout her pregnancy, Cheryl’s Trust was her top priority."

Despite not officially confirming her 'pregnancy', Cheryl is expected to showcase her 'bump' in an upcoming L'Oreal campaign.

The new campaign is expected to showcase Cheryl in magazines, billboards and TV adverts and is expected to land in the coming weeks.

It looks like we all have to be patient a little while longer! 👶
