Laura Whitmore encourages fans to buy 'Caroline Flack dress' with proceeds donated to charity
Proceeds of the dress will be donated to a mental heath charity
Love Island host Laura Whitmore has encouraged her fans to purchase a stunning dress which was worn by her friend Caroline Flack at the National Television Awards back in 2019, following her tragic death on Saturday 15th February.
Laura, who was good friends with 40-year-old Caroline, urged her followers to purchase the limited edition dress, which has been re-released by its designer Hasan Hejazi. The dress is currently listed for ÂŁ250, with approximately ÂŁ100 being donated to mental heath charity Mind.
Sharing a screenshot of 'The Caroline Dress' to her Instagram Story, Laura wrote, 'My mate hasanhejazi made a pink dress of the version Caroline wore with profits going to mindcharity'. (sic)
Hasan later wrote on her own Instagram, 'THE “CAROLINE” DRESS 💗 Please share
'My tribute to #CarolineFlack, The “Caroline” dress is now available exclusively from my website for a short time only, link in bio. I will be donating all profits (approximately £100 per dress) to @mindcharity , a charity close to my heart who provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing mental health issues
'Caroline originally wore this dress in orange to the National Television awards in 2019 and it has become one of her most memorable looks. Thanks to @simplysimonc and @styledbynana for giving me your blessing to do this and for helping me choose the perfect colour. Pink was a favourite for Caroline especially for her fashion choices, it symbolises love, compassion, playfulness and most importantly kindness.
“In a world where we can be anything, #BEKIND - Caroline Flack 💗'. (sic)
The tribute comes after Caroline tragically passed away on Saturday 15th February, at her flat in London.
Caroline's family released the following statement, "We can confirm that our Caroline passed away today on the 15th February. We would ask that the press both respect the privacy of the family at this difficult time."
Since her death, millions of tributes from across the world have been made for Caroline, with ITV bosses also dedicating the 2020 Winter Love Island final to her last weekend.
