Following Holly Willoughby's departure from hit daytime show This Morning, viewers have been seeing a lot more of Alison Hammond, as she's stepped in to host alongside fellow presenter Dermot O'Leary.

Whilst most viewers are loving having more of Alison on their screens, one This Morning fan took to social media on Monday (23rd October), to admit she felt a little 'uncomfortable', after thinking Alison was presenting whilst wearing an expensive Rolex watch.

A user with the name 'mc_guinness4' wrote on X: '#ThisMorning I love watching @AlisonHammond but with the cost of living affecting us all, I find it uncomfortable seeing her wearing, what looks like a Rolex'. (sic)

Upon seeing the post, the 48-year-old was quick to set the record straight, revealing the watch in question was actually a Michael Kors watch which she was given by her late mum.

She wrote: 'I wish !! It’s actually a Micheal Kors Watch my late mum bought me and it cost her £185 of her hard earned money . It means more to me than any Rolex . Sorry you felt uncomfortable 💓'. (sic)

Fans of the former Big Brother contestant were quick to send their support, with many telling her she has no need to apologise for anything.

One wrote: 'Check and Mate. Well done Alison on a very measured response to a ridiculous tweet. 👏👏👏', with another adding: 'Ignore this Alison. You do not need to justify yourself. People will always make assumptions'. (sic)

Another said: 'You do not need to apologies Alison. Well done for your calm response to this ridiculous tweet'. (sic)
