We're told people 'as young as 11' are vaping at schools in South Yorkshire.
It's as experts warn the habit's becoming an 'epidemic' among teenagers across the UK.
Rebecca Staples is the Headteacher at Dinnington High School in Rotherham.
She says it's getting more common there:
"When we confiscated quite a few recently and had somebody look at them from the vaping industry, at least half of these E-Cig devices were illegal.
"We also use handheld metal detectors, so if we're suspicious that children might have vapes on them, we'll scan them with those metal detectors and find them that way.
"Children as young as our Year 7's - so 11 & 12-year-olds - that might be trying vapes.
"It's more 14 and above though in terms of the age range that is a challenge for us.
"It's just too easy for children to get hold of the vapes.
"We put on a lot of educational sessions around the risks associated with vaping.
"As we know, E-Cigs were really invented to help people come off actual cigarettes.
"However, what's happening now is that young people see vaping as a cool thing to do, so it's become trendy in its own right, which is quite a scary situation."
Rotherham Council says it's planning to work with schools to investigate how they can challenge the 'positive and open' way vaping is advertised.
