Two men charged with manslaughter after Barnsley death

Two men are due before magistrates today charged with manslaughter.

It's in connection with the death of a Barnsley man.

Scott Jackson, who was 42, was found seriously injured at High Street in Thurnscoe at 12.24am on Sunday 24th September - by police responding to reports of someone being assaulted near the Butchers Arms pub.

He died from his injuries in hospital this week (Tuesday 3rd October).

South Yorkshire Police arrested three men on suspicion of manslaughter yesterday (Friday 6th October), one has been bailed pending further investigation, whilst the other two have been charged.

They're both local.
