A man aged 44 has had treatment in hospital after being injured in a shooting in Sheffield on Friday night (20th August).

South Yorkshire Police say officers responded to reports of gunshots being fired at Samuel Road in Arbourthorne and found the victim with a leg wound on nearby East Bank Road at around 9.30pm.

He was taken to hospital for treatment and subsequently discharged.

Three males have been arrested on suspicion of wounding and firears offences, they're aged 17, 18 and 44.

Extra patrols have been put on in the local area this weekend.
