A man and woman have been taken to hospital with serious injuries, after a crash in Wath upon Dearne.

Emergency services were called to Sandygate around 1.30pm (2nd September).

In a statement (correct as of 4pm), South Yorkshire Police said: 'Police were called at 1.30pm this afternoon with reports of a collision involving three vehicles on Sandygate, Wath upon Dearne.

'Emergency services attended and two people, a man and a woman, have been taken to hospital with serious injuries.

'Road closures remain in place whilst the vehicles are recovered.'
