South Yorkshire Police release CCTV amid sexual offence investigation

It follows a man who 'performed a lewd act' against teenage girl earlier this month in Sheffield

Police in South Yorkshire have launched an appeal for information after a man performed a lewd act in front of a teenage girl.

It’s reported he approached the 13 year old on Lee Avenue back on the 2nd of October before running off.

In a statement, officers from South Yorkshire Police said: "It is reported that on 2 October at 3.20pm, a 13-year-old girl was walking on Lee Avenue when a man approached her. It is believed the man performed a lewd act in front of the girl and then fled the scene on foot.

"Enquiries are ongoing but officers are keen to identify the man in the images as they may be able to assist with enquiries.

"Do you recognise him?"
