Police investigating serious assault at Sheffield pub

The incident took place in the Chapeltown area of the city

Officers in Sheffield are appealing for witnesses to come forward following a serious assault in the Chapeltown area of the city.

It is reported that at around 12.15am on Saturday 12th February a man was assaulted in the toilets of the Wagon and Horses pub at Market Place.

The victim, a 22-year-old man, suffered serious facial injuries in the attack.

Police have been carrying out extensive enquiries into this incident and are now urging any witnesses, or anyone with information about what happened, to come forward.
