A man's in hospital with life threatening injuries after a collision in Rotherham on Friday night.

Emergency services were called to Swinston Hill Road just before 10pm after reports a pedestrian was injured.

A 28 year-old man suffered injuries to his head and chest. He was taken to hospital by ambulance, where he remains in a life-threatening condition.

The driver of the car remained on scene and is assisting officer with their enquiries.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision, or the pedestrian in the road prior to the collision or may have dashcam footage that can assist with their enquiries.
